Adrienne sent us an email at around 4:30am. She said that Mom slept pretty much the whole time she has been there (since 11:30pm). She did have to be cleaned and turned, and was very cooperative and didnt "scream" once the entire time.
She is worried about not walking again, but she can actually move her legs fairly well. She was concerned that she couldn't lift them, and Adrienne explained that they were very swollen and very heavy right now. Mom suggested that maybe she was drinking too much water and retaining or maybe she should wear the compression things again. Adrienne explained the amount of pain those put her in at the time and said that we chose to take them off of her. They decided to ask the doctors for some support hose in the morning. She drank some orange juice and mentioned being hungry, so I think that is a good sign. She tried raising her arms above her head, just to see if she could. Her right arm went all the way but her left went halfway. She also has a line on her left so that could be a factor. She has not complained to Adrienne of any pain all night.

WOW! What great news. Do you think they can rent her a space in ICU for about a month or so? I sure pray that these good parts continue.
