I have been here so long I can totally make up words and no one will care. Mom has had a busy morning. The nurse on at 6am offered to get her cleaned up and she screamed "no, no, no" except with a lot more nos. Our favorite nurse, Cheryl, came on at 7am said OK, you girls need to leave we are going to get your mom cleaned up. So we went for breakfast and mom got a sponge bath. She looks better.
She has also been slightly more coherent and has made it very clear that she is very angry. She is angry at the doctors for doing this to her and she is angry at us for letting them. I know we can take it, but the doctor's are wooses. Actually, one of the surgeons was here this morning and he took it pretty well. He was impressed that she could express her anger so clearly and that she could move both of her feet and lifted her legs off of the bed.
The doctors have also told us that her vitals have stabalized and she will be moved up the regular surgical floor (out of ICU) as soon as a bed is available. This is not terribly good news for us since we get pretty close attention from the staff down here and there is room for more than one of us in the room.
Right now she is asking to sleep and then sleep some more. She had a few bites of ice cream (I told you we liked this nurse) but when I asked if she wanted more when she woke up a few minutes ago she answered "I want to die." So it is more coherent but the song is the same.

I wanted to write and let you know that my heart truly goes out to each of you at this very difficult time. And to say “thank you” for writing these posts about your mom even thought it must be extremely difficult to even write the words. I check often throughout the day and even though I often cry when I read the posts, I feel less anxious knowing the situation.
Please give your mom a hug from me and tell her that I love her that I am praying for her. I feel so sad for all that she is going through. To have that kind of pain even with pain medication is unthinkable.
I've asked my friends to pray for her and for your whole family as well. I believe that it was my friends praying for me and sending me their loving energy that got me through when Dennis was sick for those two years. When I most needed it, a peace would come over me and I would feel that I could go on.
I called one of my friends Sunday, Yvonne Kondor, who always responds by sending prayer requests to a number of chapels where they pray constantly and I will include her email to me at the end in case anyone wants the locations for this situation or any other situation in the future. The compassion of some of their responses touched me greatly when Dennis was ill.
I also called the Silent Unity Chapel where they pray for people 24 hours a day. They prayed with me and said that they will keep her on their list for 30 days and continue to pray for her recovery; ease for her pain and healing for her body.
Love to you all,
Sandra Zynda

Sandra, Here is the list of email addresses I used to request prayers for Paulette.
They have told me to put PRAYERS PLEASE in the subject line as they do get a lot of junk mail.
Some of these chapels will write you back. I do not know how long they keep praying for the request but I often give them an update as to the ongoing need and also good reports too when there is improvement and they do appreciate my updates.
