Well, sorry to everyone who was so encouraged by mom's move out of ICU (I was never encouraged because I didn't see the improvement), but she is going back. Her heart rate has been elevated and they can't get it to go down. They think it is a potassium deficiency but mom threw up the liquid potassium they gave her. They will try again with a pill, but after that it will go into her IV line. But with it going in through an IV it could take up to 5 hours to absorb (I really don't understand these things. Some drugs they say absorb quicker through the IV).
Either way they are planning to move her back down to ICU for at least the night. I certainly hope our favorite nurse is on duty. That will make for an easier night. For us at least.
