TV, uniforms and tenors

The cable people said they would be out between 8 am and noon to switch my service. They showed up at 11:56. Can't complain, but not happy.

Every day I tape Coronation Street at 3: PM and Jeopardy at 7:30 PM in the kitchen. Then on Saturday, I pull that tape and watch the week's worth of shows. On the last C. St. show, during the last 10 minutes they run this message line. They are taking a 2 week hiatus for the Olympics (OK) and then another 2 week hiatus for the World Cup Hockey Tournament (OK) and by the way this is their last broadcast in this time slot. After Hiatus they will be broadcasting at 7:30pm. (hello, can't they tell that I am taping Jeopardy at 7:30)? They stay awake nights trying to make my life miserable.

If the beach volleyball girls have to wear those sports bikinis, shouldn't the guys be wearing Speedo's? Nobody wants to get sand in their stuff, but equal opportunity and all that.

The 4 x 200 freestyle relay was a great race. Our best guy (Phelps) swam the first leg and their best guy (Thorpe) swam the anchor leg. Vandenhoogenboogen-fee-fi-foogen wasn't in this one.

Do we have a dictionary definition for repechage? (even the spell check didn't recognize it)

I wonder if there is a reason, beyond marketing, that the women are wearing bikini's in beach volleyball. I doubt it.

It is a good thing that you have 10 VCRs and should be able to get C.St. on one of them. In four weeks they could change the time that Jeopardy comes on. They will at my house.

Who won the relay? You can't just tease us like this. BTW I am loving the posting all day long and not waiting for anyone else thing. JKZ is a little behind (and he has a little behind) because we got home late last night and I did not have time to pull any pictures. I will work on that tonight if he goes to bed at a decent hour.

Tuesdays is my problem, with Big Brother and Summerland at the same time and were not usually home for either. Thankfully the WB reruns Summerland on Monday also.

I have to start taping the Olympics cuz they are on too late for me.

I'm not meaning to tease by withholding the relay results. Which got gold and which got silver. I just don't think I raised any children that are as gullible as me and can enjoy it almost as much if they know the outcome.

I guess we have cound my niche in this blog thing. Me any my dictionary, which includes the word 'blog'

rep·e·chage (rĕp′ə-shäzh)
n.

A trial heat, especially in rowing, allowing competitors who have already lost a heat another chance to qualify for the semifinals.

Now the Ausies are complaining of Bikni compitition from some cheerleading group. I could have that wrong, I just caught a snag of it.

Note to ez....Screw the gold, we're going for an american record, an olympic record and a world record.

No repechange in my dictionary at the office, so I looked up pechange thinking that re was a suffix. Has anyone seen what a peanut plant looks like--my dictionary has a picture in the margin, the peanuts are underground like a radish. I wonder if they would grow in California.

Reading Dads definition it sounds like a nice way of saying the losers bracket.

Think of the 'wild card' games in baseball and football and whatever else.
