Surrogate posting

I have talked with Steph and she keeps getting hit with one thing after another. She has given me permission to pass on the information I have gleaned from her. First of all Arn had an industrial accident today at the hospital where they both work. He hit his head on something hard (I think it was a fire extinguisher) in the performance of his janitorial duties. His injuries required 7 staples in his head. Notwithstanding the other obvious drawbacks of a head injury the best case scenario has him getting married with a head full of metal.

It also seems they have found a place to stay. I'm not sure of the stage its in, bidding, acceptance, closing? It is a 4 year old condo in Taylor in the 70/80K range with new appliances, furnace and other important stuff. I think Jeff has deemed it acceptable. (Jeff is our Dennis)

My own drab news is that I'm glad that Chili has a couple of gold medals but wish it could have been in another sport.

But wasn't that doubles match great--you can't say that they didn't work for it. Tie break for Gonzalez and five sets for the doubles and Gold. Wow. That was some great tennis.

Massu lost me as a fan during his match with Dent when he broke all the rules about delaying the game and got away with it. The doubles match and the gold medal match were both spectacular though.

Wasn't that Gonzalez that beat Dent for Bronze? He looked so old against Dent and then so young against the Germans.

It was Massu beating Dent that put Dent into the bronze round instead of the gold round.

Got this from a fiend, thought it whould be on your page.

The computer's swallowed grandma
Yes, honestly, it's true.
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.
It's devoured her completely
The thought just makes me squirm.
Maybe she's caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.
I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind
I've even used the internet
But nothing did I find.
In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My search engine to refine.
The reply from him was negative
Not a thing was found 'online'.
So, if inside your 'In Box'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Scan', 'Copy' and 'Paste' her
In an e-mail back to me.
