Tim said it could be done and we did it. We is kind of a misnomer, my part was mostly pointing out to Erika what she was doing wrong and saying, "if I was doing it I would ,,,".
I got a picture-hanging kit with eye screws and wire and everything. I felt so professional. Erika wanted to document each step with pictures a la Treebeau but its a rule that the camera has to be where the baby is and she came here this weekend sans baby.
Anyways, we hung the mirror with a longish wire and put three cheap thin washcloths rolled up behind the top part of it and it is perfect. I roll over in bed and can watch TV out of my good ear. Y'all know what I mean.

I told her to mention that there was toothpaste involved. It was all very scientific.
how very mcgiverish of you.
Glad I was able to help.
And I'm curious about the toothpaste. I've heard it does a good job for small nail holes as a spackle...but have never used it for that purpose.
you put a small dab of toothpaste on the back of the frame then place the frame up against the wall where you want it to sit. The toothpaste will leave an easily removable mark on the wall at the spot you want to drive your nail.
And yes, McGiver taught me that
Awesome!!
Sounds a little like "Hints From Heloise" too.
