I got a call from Elise today telling me about a letter she received from Aunt Julia. Julia had written it in English and I think Elise had more trouble understanding it than if she had just written in French.
But the sad news was that Marie Clair passed away on 9/25. The way Julia put it was that Marie Clair started her journey to heaven on September 25th. She has finished her purgetory here on earth.
Marie Clair was the youngest of Grandpa Beauregard's sisters and suffered an anurism many years ago and has been living semi-vegitatively ever since.
Monique had a minor cerebral hemorage and is doing fairly well. She was at the hospital in Ste Hyasinthe (sp) but now she is at home with Mirielle who looks after her.
Julia herself and Aunt Alfreda are doing fine. They live in the same housing complex and are great company for each other.

I'm glad that Marie Claire is finally out of her misery. When there is no hope for a cure, it is extremely hard on the patient and their families. It’s too bad that she needed to linger with her situation for such a long time. She has certainly earned her place in heaven, and so has Julia. I hope that Julia will now be able to lighten up from worry and enjoy the rest of her life with her kids and Alfreda.
It sounds like arterial problems run in the family. Monica and I have profited by getting corrections. How is everybody else feeling?
I don't know if I ever had a conversation with her, but it seems to me that she was a LOVELY lady.
