Yes I do. The guy that put a bomb in his shoe. They should make him stand at the end of a security check-in line so that everybody going through that has to remove their shoes can slap his face.
That part of security check in can usually reduce me to tears. On a good day I can take off and put on my own shoes and socks but I need to sit on a bed or a couch to do it. Not standing up and not sitting in a straight chair and certainly not in a wheelchair.
I would never have thought 10 years ago that so much agility would be needed for such a basic operation

Having never flown before, I really don't know all the processes for security. I have been to airports, but only to pick people up. But, I can sympathize with you, since I too would want to hit that shoe bomber guy.
Many people would join you in that face slapping. How long would it take before he would die from constant face slapping? Is that torture? How about pinching him really hard?
Ooo, I like the pinching. Mama used to be really good at that. Any Sunday I could sit far enough down the pew from her that she couldn't reach me was a good day.
Yes, I thought about you as we were all taking our shoes off at the airport. It is a pain in the butt and the back.
Why doesn't someone invent shoes that could easily be removed and put back on at airports? They could be easy to slide out and, without bending over, easy to slide on?
I believe those kinds of shoes are called "flip-flops" or "slippers." Am I wrong?
Yes, but when you live in Michigan wearing flip flops (or slip on sandals) is not really an option.
Loafers! You can slip them off with the other toes and back on with no hands if you get them big enough. Paulette, with you taking a wheelchair in the airport, you could probably get away with some too-big loafers, since you're sitting anyway.
People who are around me know how hard and long I have looked for something that I could just slip on and off. Flip flops really hurt between the toes. Beach sandle makers try to be all cute and theraputic with little bumps on the inside of the soles. I finally stole a pair from Kathy last summer but the tops are canvas and don't stand rigid. I can't manoever my toes into them because to move my toes around is to invite foot cramps. Even tho I am wheeled to the gate, I still have to walk into the plane and to my seat and loafers that are too big tend to fall off midstep. Then someone has to help me put them back on and there I am again.
Just let me slap that guy's face and be done with it.
