Fretworthy

The person that cut my hair last week cut it way too short on the top and I have cowlicks sticking up all over the place - Fretworthy?

I found a bug in the carpet piece I keep just inside the door. It was the type of bug Megan called a roly poly. We found one like it in July when she was here. This is about the 5th one I've seen in the house since I moved in - Fretworthy?

Last Monday (9/11) I made a pot of soup called 15 Bean Soup. I had made this before and always omitted the garlic because I didn't have any. This time, I had allocated my overflow to Kelly and decided to follow the recipe. I bought some minced garlic. The package said that 1/2 teaspoon was equal to one clove of garlic. The recipe called for 2 cloves. I used one teaspoon. The house still smells like garlic - Fretworthy?

I sent in a reply postcard to TV Guide saying they could send me 8 free issues of their magazine. I had cancelled my subscription when they changed their format. After the free issues I am under no obligation to buy any more. All I have to do is write "cancel" on the invoice. The invoice may get here while I'm in California and go astray - Fretworthy?

I have only one bottle of ketchup. - Fretworthy?

The VCR in my kitchen is making funny noises as it records - Fretworthy?

My health plan is changing our prescription provider as of December 1st. When I get back from California in November, I will have to make a Doctor's appointment to renew my prescriptions before 12/1 - Fretworthy?

Holliday Park is throwing a thank you dinner for committee members on 10/7. They require that we send in a $10.00 deposit which is returned to us when we show up at the dinner. I don't want to go. Rita really enjoys those dinners and I usually go to please her. The deposit is due tomorrow. I'm not going to send it in. - Fretworthy?

This stuff should not be visited onto 1 person at the same time. This combination is more than fret-it is torture! But if you tackle only 1 at a time and CAN forget about each of the other ones until their turn comes up, you might survive intact. Good luck.

Why do you have to wait until you get back to make the appointment?

1 bottle of Ketchup? Absolutely deserving of a few moments of fret. That is almost as scary and 1 jar of mayo.

The doctor, the ketchup, and the VCR are the only things you will fret about. Actually you won't fret about the ketchup because that one is so easily fixed.

these comments crack me up. Many of you think you can or should at least try to "fix" my fretful incidents.

Adrienne thinks that because she loves the new TV Guide, I should too. Because garlic is good for you I should enjoy the stink. The dinner will be fun.

All things that I have already disclaimed within my post.

Don't fret my pet lol. No rolly polly's are nice. If you scare them they roll up into little balls.

My hair's too short too, wait till I get back and we can fret together if you'd like.

I didn't notice the garlic smell this week, but if you want there is a bottle of Fabreze in my closet.

Use the $10 to splurge on ketchup that is not on sale.

Personally I don't find any of those fretworthy! If those were my problems, I would be a lot better off... By the way, I like the smell of garlic, so definitely don't fret over that one.

Nearly all of these are a part of life that everyone has every day. Decision points are met head on and made one way or the other. I agree with Sean, none are items for fretting. If things are not going right do what you can and forget the rest. Focus on the good things that are happening in your life. If you can't do that, then fret.

I'm afraid that I have over estimated my audience. It will be a long while before I make another attempt at whimsical irony.

Sorry, I haven't checked the blog all weekend--I love whimsical irony. Don't leave home without it.
Your audience awaits--only 10 more days!
