What a candidate

I loved, loved John Kerry's acceptance speech.  My favorite line was "Saying mission accomplished, doesn't make it so." I don't remember any lines that I particularly didn't like.  All in all the best convention I ever watched.

Did you see those little little kids of John Edwards.  I thought they said Elizabeth Edwards was 55 years old.  Poor lady.

Pyle, you should know peeve, it comes from your generation, as a hand-me-down from your (maybe not your) parents. The Great Gildersleeve (Radio) had a druggist named Mr.Peeve (pronouncing the final‘p’) who was always bitching about something. Can you remember a song (spoken) called ‘Life gets tedious, don’t it,’ one verse ends with ‘life gets peevish don’t it.’

I think this turned into peeved off, then to P’ed off, to the every popular pissed off.

In my generation, peeve was a noun and people kept it as a pet.
