Just like in The Big Rock Candy Mountain. I had a soda pop fountain in the trunk of my car. There was a wayward can of diet Pepsi way at the back of my trunk for about 6 weeks. Everybody who has been in my trunk offered to get it for me and I always said "That's OK". I knew that I could always get it with my big stick, aka handle of my snow brush/ice scraper. Yes that is a tool that I leave in the trunk year round rather than get caught in the first snowfall, ice storm without one.
Anyways this morning was the day I chose for the pop can to come out. Before I loaded my groceries into the car I was going to secure the can and put it into one of the grocery bags to transfer it to the house. Alas, I used the wrong end of the big stick and the ice scraper punctured the can right in the middle and there it was, the soda pop fountain. It was so pretty that I just stared at it for a while before common sense took over and I scooped it out and on to the ground to continue its fountainish properties. The offending scraper redeemed itself when I was able to scrape up the pop residue from the bottom of the trunk pretty well with it.
Now, I think a little Fabreeze will take care of the rest of the problem.

Spilled soda is always a good reason for drinking diet. It doesnt stain and it doesnt stick.
