There are a lot of responsibilities to keeping a blog. You can't say everything you feel, like a stream of consciousness because you never know who is going to be reading it. I don't expect this to be read by anyone who doesn't love me or at least like me a lot.
Not having a baby to share or a wedding to plan I will have to write of mundane things. Like liability.
After the company I had last weekend, my downstairs toilet was running slugishly. After putting up with it for 4 days and realizing that it was not going to correct itself I called maintenance. Maintenance guy showed up on Friday just before noon when I was going to leave for the clubhouse for bi-weekly Dominos. As he walked into the half-bath he promptly clunked his head on the wall cabinet. I mean he hit that sucker hard. I didn't want to leave the house in case he passed out or something. The first thing he said is "What is that doing there"?
A perfectly good question because we are not supposed to attaching large objects to our walls. Bill put that cabinet up for me when he built the changing table while Marisa was living with me as a baby. Its an old kitchen cabinet with the doors removed so it becomes a shelving unit so to speak. It was to store diapers and baby things and has continued to be of great service thoughout the years.
Being a short person it has never presented a problem to me. But now what is running through my mind is Why did I ever cancel my renter's insurance. Sure I saved $75.00 a year but are those savings going to be enough to cover this guy's lawsuit.
He did go about his business and I did leave the house before he had finished his plunging so I did not see his parting condition or hear his parting comments. But the toilet works great again.
