Sean's comment line "Youth isn't all its cracked up to be" cracked me up. However, after I finished laughing, I began to wax philosophical and he is, of course, absolutely right. The more I waxed, the philosophicaler I got. (Is there any kind of award for the best made-up word?)
Nothing can be "all its cracked up" to be because nobody cracks anything up to be something unless its something they haven't got. And if its something they used to have or expect to have in the future, they tend to dwell on the good parts.
While you're taking the good with the bad, isn't it nice that the good stays with you and the bad tends to disappear.

Boy I saw that title and I thought you had an accident in your new car. I am glad that was not the case and you are just cracking up philosophically. I will pass your word by our resident philosopher to see it is actually made up. For all we know someone may have done their dissertation on philosophicaler.
Well, I'm glad you found my comment amusing! I found your post VERY philsophical; much philosophicaler than mine. (See, I used your new word, too!)
It took me couple of read-throughs to comprehend what you were saying in your post, but I eventually got it. I totally agree with your philosophization (MY word...), and that is how it goes, isn't it? I suppose when I'm older, I'll long for youth and forget all the troubles and anxieties that I am experiencing now, or have experienced. Excellent philosophization!
Do word games have anything to do with Philosophy? Why does the "Word Verification" that authorizes the sending of a comment look so peculiar that sometimes you get the letters wrong. Why can't they just be normal?
Erika explained to me why those verification words look so weird. I told her to explain it to you but she hasn't. It has to do with the word being photographed such that it cannot just be copied and pasted. I guess without the verification process it is possible for folk to comment on your blog (with sales pitches etc.) without ever having to actually go to your blog.
The other piece of the puzzle on the word verification is that the words have to be skewed so that OCR programs (optical character recognition) can't work on them. It seems to be working well as blocking spam so we will just have to keep trying to figure the letters out.
