This amazing daughter of mine is slowly filling my living room with stuff from my basement. Three corners of my basement are empty. I'm not sure if we'll get to the fourth corner tonight or not. All the stuff is going out on my porch tonight (or early tomorrow) and St. Vincent De Paul said they would pick it all up tomorrow. Isn't that great.
Others have blogged about the wonderful time we had all last week and the fun continues. When we got home on Monday, the HP maintenance guy was just putting the finishing touches on my bathroom repairs. He had stopped the leak (the other guy must have loosened it instead of tightening it) so I have hot and cold running water in my upstairs sink again. I have a bright new toilet with no cracks. The bad news is that the tank is a little rounder and doesn't follow the same lines that were painted around the old tank.
We spent the day at Windsor today and it was lots of fun. Jeannette came with us and nobody made any money and I was the biggest loser. Tomorrow its Greektown (the bus leaves Westland at 9:30 AM) and then Rita is taking us out to Red Robin for dinner. St. Vincent dp will have removed all the stuff from my porch by that time. Thursday morning at 8:00 AM when Joe* (pronounced Laurie) gets here, Jeannette is picking us up and we are going to Motor City. She (J) must be home in time to pick up her grandchildren (Elain's kids) from school so that should get us home in time for Adrienne to get some packing done before we go to Stephie's for dinner. Adrienne has prepared a Cherry Pie Cake for desert at Steph's and the house smells wonderful right now.
