Couch Potato Heaven

What a great TV day. I spent all morning with my Coronation Street tapes and then after a brief nap I found the Hall of Fame Tennis Tournement from Newport, RI on Fox Sports Network and they had two semi-final matches. I expect to see Gimelstob and Philipousis in the finals tomorrow.

For my back-and-forth viewing there was a marathon of the World Series of Pop Culture on VH1. They stopped in the middle of the quarter-finals and I'm afraid I will have to watch my local listings to find out when they will continue.

Then for icing on the cake, when both channels went to commercial at the same time, I still have my tape of all last week's Jeopardy shows.

"Gimelstob and Philipousis" what is this Dr. Seuss tennis. You are making this up.

No, Justin Gimelstob (american) and Mark Phillipousis (Australian, I think) are very real. The problem for me is that the Fox Sports Network that would be carrying that final match is tied up with a local baseball game this afternoon. Drats.

Do you not get FSN2? That's what happens when we have local sports, they put the other stuff on 2.

How did you do with the World Series of Pop Culture? I really enjoyed knowing most of the answers. If we had known we could have had a winning team put together.

No, I don't have an FSN2, I'm lucky to have the ESPN2.

We might have made a good team on the Pop Culture. I noticed that the ones I knew the answers to, they got wrong. Probably a generational thing.

I caught a piece of the pop culture thing last night (I don't know what level) but I would have totally lost it if I had to be the one answering on "Youth Music." I didn't know any of them.
