That's where that record ends. For the new record, congratulations Monica on your third attempt at retirement.

When I first read through this record, I missed the ditto marks under the word March for the second tooth and I read it as 12/36. I pictured this poor baby with only one tooth for nine months.

Boy, I remember having to stay in bed with the measles. I was in the front bedroom (must have been before the remodeling). The shade was drawn and it was rather dark in there even during the day. I think that the idea was that bright light was not good for your eyes while you have measles-I don't know. But the spoiled little girl across street (I believe we called that house "Molly's") was having a birthday party, and I was so sad that you and Rita went and I couldn't go.

Wow, Molly's birthday party. That must be the party Rita recalls (her first) where she was so disappointed that she was not allowed to take the gift back home with her.

I don't remember much about Molly except thinking of her as a blond hussy. I'm not sure where I got that idea but "hussy" sounds like a Jane Frances kind of word.

We all remember her mother Hazel tho, my kids grew up knowing Hazel as the candy lady at St. Gabes.
