You guys have to remember that these blog facts are not written in stone. They are the recollections of my young life. Turns out I was way wrong about the Eldege family boys' citizenship and birthplaces. The Eldege family moved back to Canada shortly after the birth of Laurent who is only 3 weeks younger than Uncle Marcel. So only John Robert and Laurent had citizenship as adults. Marc came in and applied for citizenship the old fashioned way. At the time he married Jeannette he was a green card holder and required to register annually.
Jeannette told me about a time that two immigration officers showed up at their house ready to pick him up for not registering. All of you must know by now that Beauregards are "take care of business" kind of people and those officers were just wrong. Marc convinced them that he had indeed registered (he must have had paperwork) and they left him alone.
Gabby and Monica have sent long emails about recollections of their own and ideas for future blogs. I have copied those into a file and will do some editing and put them into posts. Stay tuned for further developments

I'm glad you're going to do this. I wanted it to get 'out there' but really didn't know how to go about it.
