Did you know that while you are playing Diamond Mine, hitting any key on the keyboard will pause the game. Well, I can't vouch for any key but certainly any of many keys. Hitting the same or any other key will resume the game.
If you touch the key and hold it down, the poor game will undulate back and forth and you can actually keep playing while this is going on.
