That's going to be my new address. Rita says they are making all sorts of moving out motions. First of all all the window dressings came down and she could see a ladder in the living room. A few days later, the window dressings went back up and we think that means they had them cleaned and they are painting the interior. This would be very good news to me since I don't want to have to do any of that, but I will if I have to.
The drill is that they will probably file a petition to vacate in October, Those have to be filed during the first 5 days of the month. They would then have 60 days to actually vacate while the resale goes through, but I am assuming that since they are doing all the preliminary work now, they will want the resale to go through as soon as possible. Then they (the corporation) notify me that the unit is for sale and I make arrangements to buy it. In turn I file my petition to vacate (this would probably be November) and I will have 60 days to actually move.
So most likely case scenario I won't be actually moving until Christmastime. Hopefully there will be a several week period where I will have possession of both units and the move can take place in small pieces until its time to bring in all the big pieces, for which I will get a couple of bids ahead of time.
Its exciting and intimidating.

Woo hoo!! I am so excited. Except the learning a new address part. I don't like that part. But everything else should go smoothly. Unless your current neightbors decided to throw a snag in just to keep you there. No, they wouldn't do that.
