Not so Fast

We have been informed that we are waiting for non-existent blood test results before mom can be released. Our afternoon nurse came in and the following conversation happened

Me: Are her discharge papers ready?
Nurse: No we are waiting for the CBC results.
Me: From Saturdays blood draw?
Nurse: No from today's.
Me: Nobody drew blood from her since 10pm Saturday night.
Nurse: yes they did
Me: No, no they didn't. I keep a chart myself of everything that goes in and out of her. ANd everything that happens to her, There was no blood drawn today.
Nurse: (looking from my list to her chart) hmmm......the other nmurse told me it had been done, let me get back to you.
She returns in a few minutes letting us know that the blood test had been ordered at 2pm (It is now after 4 pm at the point of this conversation (it is almost 6pm at the time of this writing and they STILL have not taken the blood)).

So we are in Limbo waiting for the blood to be drawn, the CBC test to be run and the results to come back in our favor.
